Hello this fall morning!

I'm shivering as I look out over my  yard and all the flowers
have frozen in the last overnight freeze!

It is so fun to see the changes of color in the mountains and the
fall brisk mornings,
I put on my long pants and sweaters for this season
and look forward to hot chocolate mornings.

Today I am featuring a layout with our grand daughter Becca Ann.
She was so willing last year to take photos with us,
this year not so much, so I will take advantage of the cute
photos we took last year.

Here she is wearing one of my father's golf hats, she looks so cute in it,
and her sweet smile is so contagious.

I used these products in this page from The Robin's Nest:

Admiral Fleur Glitter Linen Cardstock  Airplane Cardstock  Blue Bees Linen Cardstock

Aristocratic Blues Cards   Flame Dew Drops

Ribbon, flowers and buttons from my scrapbook stash.

The chrysanthemum stickers are brand new!
So cute on this page!

There is the opposite side to the page that I am

And close ups of the page.

The 5 is on one of the cards, back side, and I cut the fleur de lys of the side
of it and used it in 2 separate places in the layout.  The 5 is framed
and the de lys are just a strip on the side of the lo.

Close up of the chrysanthemums, I love the orange and yellow colors!

I love how this page turned out of our cute Becca Ann.

You can find these products on our website,

just click on this link and it will take you to the shopping page.

Have a great day!

How to Create a Quick & Cute Halloween Card from Scraps

Hello and welcome!  Shelly with you sharing a super cute & quick card I created using scraps from my last project.

In my last post, I showed you how to create a Halloween Banner.  I was so in love with the die cut cat using the Robins Nest papers that I created a 2nd one at the same time to use on a future project - and this is it!

What I used:

What I did:
  • Score white cardstock at center, fold, use corner rounder on all corners, ink edges
  • Cut Kraft cardstock, use corner rounder on all corners, ink edges
  • Adhere kraft CS piece to white card base
  • Cut circle from Flame Swirl Cardstock (trace around a large cup or saucer for pattern) ink edges and adhere to kraft cardstock
  • Adhere die cut cat on top of Flame Circle Cardstock Circle
  • Fussy cut a bat from Black Bats Glitter Cardstock and the word BOO from Boo Words Glitter Cardstock and adhere to card
  • Adhere ball fringe along lower edge of kraft cardstock
  • Finish with Black & Ivory Diamond Dew Drops

I may have enough scraps from these papers to use on one more Halloween project....

Thanks for stopping by the blog today - have a creative week!

Bike for a man

Hi all Robin's Nest fans.

I would like to show you a masculine card.

The masculin theme is difficult when you can't put flowers and

all thoses embellishements you have in your craft room.

But this time I tought I can use this wonderful element which is a bike.

Please see some stages of this project.

Thank you for your attention and all lovely comments.

Kind Regards

Family Roots Card

Ii made this card to go inside my Family Heritage Album.
I plan to write the date that I started the album and the date that I finish the album.

Fold your 12*12 cardstock into half and cut long ways (vertical).

Fold your paper at 6* or just fold your cardstock in half horizontal way.

The score and fold your cardstock at 2.5 inches.

add your rub ons, I use Family Tree Rub-ons (my favorite).
I also used the Chocolate Boy rub ons as well.

Add your embellishments here I added the teal color bicycle.

I also added burlap to add a vintage and rustic look to the card.

decorate the inside.

How To Make Fun & Whimsical Mini Witch Hats

Hello there crafty friends!
Michelle here with you today
sharing a fun, and fairly easy to make project
just in time for Halloween.
Whimsical Mini Witch Hats.

These were made with the FABULOUS
Purple Bats & Pumpkin Glitter Cardstock
from The Robin's Nest.

The design I used for the hats is a design
from my cutting machine, however
there are loads of free templates
available on Pinterest.

Once I had cut the glittered cardstock
I began shaping it into the cone,
securing the bottom by stapling.
I then glued the remaining area

For the brim, I cut two pieces of solid black cardstock,
one to slide over the hat shaft,
and the other for the bottom.
Some templates, show the same as my machine design,
tabs on the bottom edge of the shaft.

I glued the tabs to the top brim,
and then glued the bottom brim
to  "sandwich" the tabs in between.

The rest, is all about embellishing.
I cut bat shapes, then used glue and purple glitter
to mirror the bat design in the hat shaft.
Using wire, I glued the bats and staggered
them by length of wire, and secured with glue.

Each hat features bats & spiders,
coordinating with the hat's individual colors

I also used glimmer sprays on white tulle,
to make purple, orange & black tulle to embellish the hats,
and used satin patterned ribbon, and rushed black lace on each.

The orange & black hat also features
a glittered pumpkin from The Robin's Nest.

The really fun part?
The hats are now attached to slim headbands,
coordinating with each hat,
that can be worn for Halloween fun.
